These are common 90% silver coins that were put into circulation to the general public. From 1965 to 1969 they also made the Kennedy Half Dollars in 40% silver. We buy those as well. We also purchase “key date” coins. Key dates are coin that had very low production and have a good numismatic value. While we do not buy many foreign coins, we do buy them if they are made from silver or gold. Another type of coins we buy are silver and gold bullion coins.  According to the B.B.B., when you sell coins for cash you want to do business with a long established company with a good reputation. We pay cash for your Gold & Silver CoinsBefore you sell coins for cash make sure to do a little research on the coins your have. While the internet is a great resource for looking up your coins, there are many misleading sites that have over inflated prices for some coins. These sites try to take advantage of people who do not know what their coins are worth and try to sell you common date coins at an extremely high mark up. The best resource to check is either PCGS.com or NGCcoin.com. These are the industry standard for grading and authenticating rare coins and by far the best resource on determining the price of your coins. 1932-S QuarterWhen you go to sell coins for cash and you are researching rare coins for their value one thing to note is that most coins that have an extremely high value are “graded” coins. This means they were sent to PCGS or NGC and are encased in a hard clear plastic case and have the information about the coin as well as a grade like MS69. This removes all doubt about the authenticity of the coin as well as the condition of the coin. This makes it much easier for Coin Dealers to make a proper offer when you come in to sell your coins for cash. The picture on the left shows a coin that has been graded buy PCGS. As you can see in the image, in the top left corner is the mint year and mint mark on the top left is the denomination of the coin. In the middle it shows the grading company and the coin grade “AU58” which means “almost uncirculated”. The higher the number in the grade the better quality the coin. For instance if your have a MS70 grade on the coin that means it is “Mint State” and 70 means the coin is perfect. The grades can get a bit confusing to a non-collector but once you learn them it makes it a priceless tool for buying and selling coins.
